As a Senior Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will play a critical role by managing and optimizing the flow of value through
the Agile Release Train (ART) and Solution Train. You will leverage your extensive experience with SAFe methodologies to support a
federal law enforcement customer in their mission to provide innovative solutions for cyber professionals. Your expertise will be
essential in facilitating Program Increments (PIs) and ensuring effective outcomes across multiple enterprise applications in a secure,
multi-enclave environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART using various tools, including Program and Solution Kanban and other information radiators
- Facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning readiness through preparation of vision and backlogs, and pre/post-PI Planning meetings
- Lead quarterly PI planning events, including in-person and virtual sessions
- Track the execution of features and capabilities across enterprise applications
- Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation
- Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
- Help manage risks and dependencies across the development ecosystem
- Escalate and track impediments to project success
- Improve the flow of value through value streams using the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps
- Facilitate system demos and solution demos
- Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops
- Assess the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and help teams improve
- Support coordination between Agile development teams and Rapid Application Development (RAD) teams
- Must have an Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI); able to pass a background checks and polygraph examination
- US Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8 years of experience in Agile methodologies, with at least 3 years in a Release Train Engineer role.
- Experience with SAFe Agile framework and methodologies to include mitigating SAFe adoption resistance.
- Experience with Agile project management tools (Jira, Confluence, or Kendis)
- Experience with Inspect and Adapt practices to drive continuous improvement
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools (GitLab or similar version control systems)
- Program Increment planning and execution and Risk management and dependency tracking
- May require < 10% travel
- SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification preferred
- Familiarity with:
• Hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• CI/CD pipelines
• Python, .NET C#, or other development languages
• Database technologies (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Elasticsearch, Splunk, and other data platforms
• Angular, React, or other modern frontend framework

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
