As the EIT Engineering Team Lead for SQA team, you’ll lead and manage end-to-end Performance testing across applications and technology stacks, to ensure  business critical applications are capable of operating at realistic and peak workloads. You'll act as technical SME, guiding BlueSky Interns and SQA contractors on scripting practices and processes.  You will ensure governance structure to manage/monitor recurring performance testing across all constituent projects and improve software quality for the overall organization. Additionally, you’ll support maintenance of Performance servers’ infrastructure and upgrades, DR planning, while helping troubleshoot systems’ performance failures and recommending applications performance improvements through root cause analysis in collaboration with key individuals of Application, Architect, and Info. Security teams.

You’ll be a great match to this role if you bring:

  • Hands-on experience on performance test framework design and implementation using variety of load and Performance test tools ( such as Neo Load, JMeter), APM Tools, Grafana and Splunk
  • Performance testing experience on Web, Mobile applications with on-prem and cloud platforms
  • Experience in testing APIs, Databases and complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with test solutions design review, code review, CI/CD tools  ( such as ADO) and processes integration for automated QA life cycle management
  • Experience of Agile methodologies including scaled agile and scrum
  • Supervisory or project management experience

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of a team with a focus on the maintenance and development of systems and supervising system modifications.
  • Assigns, monitors, and reviews progress and accuracy of work. Provides staff management oversight including hiring, promoting, or making recommendations for staff. Conducts performance reviews and assessments, manages performance, engages in skills assessment, and promotes professional development of staff.
  • Directs, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, professional growth, and ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
  • Ensures adherence to policies, plans, objectives, budgets and staffing allocations.
  • Manages and tracks team-level project details and serves as the technical subject matter expert and provides leadership during periods of transition.
  • Employees may be required to participate in a weekly on-call rotation.

 

Job Qualifications

 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Sciences related field or equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • 5 year - Experience with information technology concepts, application development and/or enterprise system maintenance methodology, terminology, and standards required
  • 5 years – Systems maintenance and/or programming experience required 
  • 3 year - Expert working knowledge of at least one programming language and/or one enterprise system in use at BCBST

 

SkillsCertifications

  • Knowledge of information technology concepts, methodology, terminology, and standards.
  • Proven Skill to develop and/or maintain an enterprise IT system
  • Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in one or more enterprise IT systems
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Microsoft Office and email skills are required
  • Adaptive to high pace and changing environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers.
  • Must be willing to adjust schedule to plan and perform maintenance and upgrades outside of business hours and be part of an on-call rotation.
