Job Title: Benefits Supervisor
Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Work Location: Hybrid - this role is based out of our West Des Moines, IA office for three days per week, with two days working remotely from your home office.

Essential Job Duties:
Supervise the benefits and leave team to ensure efficient and compliant operations. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to the team to further their professional growth and development.
Understand Wright Service Corp. benefits practices and assist in maintaining competitive and compliant benefits strategies
Oversee benefits program administration, including evaluation and management of offerings, employee communication, utilization tracking, renewals, and compliance deadlines.
Maintain and update benefit summaries and related documentation as needed.
Develop and maintain relationships with all third-party benefit providers to ensure a high service level.
Collaborate with benefit vendors for all required filings, census data, and regulatory compliance.
Coordinate the annual audit of all retirement plans.
Coordinate with the Finance Department on company ESOP and DSU plan eligibility and distributions.
Oversee administration of leave programs, including long-term disability, short-term disability, FMLA, and ADA.
Manage time-off plans and coordinate the annual holiday calendar.
Conduct benefits-related employee training, including enrollment education and new hire orientation.
Administer policies, practices, and processes in compliance with federal, state and local laws related to employee benefits, leave, and time-off.
Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright’s culture of safety and employee ownership.
Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintain knowledge of and follow all company policies and procedures.
Supervisory Duties:
Oversee varying levels of employees within the benefits and leave team.
Knowledge, Skills & Ability Requirements:
Knowledge of EEOC, Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, federal, state and local employment legislation, and Company policies and procedures
Demonstrate ability to manage complex projects that work across the Wright family of companies, departments, and teams from initiation through completion
Ability to make independent decisions to resolve employee benefit and leave issues; ability to work with confidential information and maintain discretion
Demonstrate strong data analysis and critical thinking skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products. Advanced Microsoft Excel experience is required
Ability to work with ambiguity, lead independently, and meet deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal abilities, and presentation capabilities
Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in a dynamic environment
Demonstrate ability to build strong partnerships and relationships with employees at all levels across the Wright family of companies
Education, Certification & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in benefits program administration
2 years of supervisory experience
Experience with self-insured health plans, renewals, communication, and analysis
Skilled in working with brokers, service providers, and third-party administrators
Demonstrated experience with enterprise HRIS solutions for benefit administration and open enrollment; Workday experience is preferred
