Position Summary: 

As a Process Engineer, you will partner with Design Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth, efficient new product launches and drive process improvements for existing products. Your key focus will be reducing new product implementation time while improving efficiency, quality, and consistency across all production lines.

Primary duties, tasks and responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison between Manufacturing and Design Engineering
  • Perform capability and capacity assessments for production readiness
  • Develop new product implementation strategies and timelines
  • Establish and follow the process of engineering product lifecycle
  • Partner with Quality Engineering to conduct First Article Acceptance Testing (FAAT)
  • Create and maintain detailed work instructions, including cost considerations
  • Set and monitor equipment throughput targets
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering on tooling, fixtures, and process aids
  • Identify and implement process improvements for existing products to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness

Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years in process engineering or a related role
  • Proven ability to lead change and drive improvement
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, design processes, and related software
  • Effective problem-solving skills with a results-driven approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with all levels of the organization
  • Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, or a technical degree with equivalent experience
  • Minimum three years in a manufacturing environment required
  • Machine shop experience preferred
  • Lean manufacturing experience preferred

Office-based with occasional shop floor interaction and site visits.
