Reports To: Supervisor, RxARECARE Operations
Purpose:
This position plays a key role in leading the development and management of RxARECARE specific teams at PANTHERx™ Rare Pharmacy. and supports the Supervisor in the execution of the designed RxARECARE program(s).This includes patient onboarding, patient engagement, adherence programs, quality, and training. This role also supports prompt responses to escalated patient, manufacturer, prescriber, or leadership concerns.
Responsibilities
- Liaises between RxARECARE Teams and Supervisor RxARECARE Operations by taking lead on operational and program specific needs and projects.
- Monitors and oversees Prior Authorization and Appeals.
- Serves as primary point of contact for team specific questions and escalations.
- Develops SWFT and Data builds for program-specific processes/process changes.
- Conducts staff training for new processes/process changes.
- Distributes responsibilities to the team to ensure all patient engagement activities are handled daily.
- Evaluates and acts on daily reports regarding operations, assuring the team exceeds partner expectations.
- Participates in regular meetings with leadership to discuss staff needs and accomplishments.
- Staffs within the team to support current business.
- Additional projects and activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Registered Pharmacist degree from an ACPE accredited institution.
- Unrestricted Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
- High level of independent judgment, individual initiative, and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a manner that is clear, logical, and consistent.
- High level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting priorities as needed and meeting deadlines.
- Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep clinical knowledge base and basic understanding of pharmacy workflow (backend SWFT and data knowledge).
- Deep knowledge of prior authorizations and appeal support including submitting prior authorizations and writing appeals
- 2 years as a practicing, licensed pharmacist in a specialty pharmacy.
- 1 year of experience in a leadership role, managing team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel).
Work Environment:
This position operates in a well-lit, mail order distribution pharmacy environment. Role routinely uses pharmaceutical equipment and safety supplies.
Physical Demands:
Individuals must be able to stand for extended periods of time; lift up to 20 pounds; and utilize the computer and bar code scanner. Must be able to use proper personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, gloves, eye protection and face masks when needed.
