Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) is a leading supplier of advanced composite materials for the aerospace, sporting goods, motorsport, and industrial markets. You will find our thermoset composite products on nearly every satellite, space launch vehicle, unmanned aircraft, military and commercial aircraft in production today. TAC also provides composites materials to industrial and recreational applications including mountain bikes, medical prosthetics, and sports equipment.

Our thermoplastic prepregs, known in the industry as Cetex®, are found in a wide range of commercial and military aircraft, including large wing structures and interior applications like seats and galleys. Our Cetex products are available in unidirectional tape or fabric form in a variety of engineered thermoplastic resins including PEEK, PPS, PEI as well as a full line of performance thermoplastics including Nylon, PET, PC/ABS, HDPE, and PP.

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

The Application Developer I will work alongside other engineers/developers by supporting the System Administrator with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Dynamics 365 ERP, GE Proficy, Ignition HMI, and related software. This role will act as an in-house resource supporting, troubleshooting, and enhancing our ERP and MES systems. The Application Developer I will serve as the liaison between the IT department, global functional and business planning groups. As Developer I, this person will start to troubleshoot software bugs, data, and system configuration issues.

MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Act as an in-house resource supporting, troubleshooting, and enhancing our application stack. 
  • Assist the System Administrator with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the application stack, and related software (SQL, Bl) 
  • Identify and troubleshoot performance issues at the code and database layers. 
  • Design and develop SSRS web-based reports. 
  • Assist unit test cases, creating unit test plans, and executing unit testing. 
  • Troubleshooting software bugs, data, and system configuration issues. 
  • Work with business users to validate test cases and results for code changes.  
  • Recommends technical ideas and approaches to peers including the IT team. 
  • Supports business reports and ERP software. 

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science is preferred. 
  • Internship experience is preferred but not required.
  • Less than a year of experience with Microsoft D365 Technical Development Work 
  • Some experience in software development 
  • Basic Functional understanding of the AX modules 
  • Understand X++ and .NET programming languages. 
  • Aware of Microsoft D365 (MFG, SCM, Finance), SQL, XML, C#, and .NET framework. 
  • Understand relational databases, client-server, and object-oriented concepts. 
  • Understanding of business applications and database technologies. 
  • Ability to understand business requirements, as well as technical solutions. 
  • Ability to articulate and document objectives, progress, and issues effectively to technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Demonstrated ability to learn BI tools, Visual Studio, SSRS 
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office tools and technologies  
  • Flexible work schedule in order to support different work shifts, accommodate system upgrades and maintenance that must be performed outside of normal operating hours. 
  • Attention to detail, well organized and able to multitask.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbally) in English.
  • Able to work and communicate effectively.
  • Maintain work areas in a neat, orderly, and safe manner. 
  • Follow safety procedures for PPE (personal protection equipment) 
  • Ability to move and lift objects up to 50 pounds. 


 Salary Range: $118,658 - $130,000
