Clinical Mentor – Adolescent Residential Mental Health (Leesburg, VA)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 5:00 PM, some afterhours or weekend work may be required.
Compensation: $68,640-$78,000 annually, exempt.
Mission Prep, part of AMFM Healthcare, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Clinical Mentor to join our team at our Adolescent Residential Mental Health facilities. Mission Prep specializes in providing comprehensive mental health care for adolescents aged 12-17 facing mental health and/or behavioral disorders.
As a Clinical Mentor at Mission Prep, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the therapeutic environment for our clients. You will be directly involved in providing exceptional care, supporting treatment protocols, and enhancing clinical outcomes. Position Overview:
From admit to discharge, the Clinical Mentor proactively oversees, manages and monitors the progress of each individual client and contributes to their treatment planning. Clinical Mentors are expected to exercise independent discretion and judgment in the administration of their duties as they are the primary staff responsible and accountable for ensuring each client has a proper continuum of care throughout their treatment episode as well as at discharge. Clinical Mentors are also responsible for contributing to the organization's Outcomes program, facilitating groups, and being a strong advocate for clients as a part of the overall clinical team.
Responsibilities:
Develop person-centered care plans, including prioritized problem lists, SNAP, client-reported goals, measurable and achievable objectives, and interventions. Identify and prioritize individual needs and problems.
Be responsible for the client's aftercare plan and make decisions based on the best interest of the client.
Lead and provide group therapy sessions utilizing Evidence Based Practices and prepare clinical documentation accurately and within agency time frames.
Manage a case load of up to 12 clients, with a minimum of weekly aftercare planning sessions.
Coordinate and manage client transfers to higher or lower levels of care and discharges against clinical advice.
Communicate with aftercare programs and business development, facilitating aftercare coordination and coordination of care between programs.
Initiate and develop comprehensive transition and discharge plans and summaries for assigned caseload.
Intervene during crisis intervention situations.
Supervise and participate in the agency’s Quality Management system, Orientation, staff meetings, and in-service training while adhering to code of ethics, legal aspects of clinical practice, professional standards, duty to warn, abuse and neglect reporting policies and procedures, and exercise professionalism at all times.
Provide appropriate treatment interventions relative to the specific needs of each client and provide accurate assessment and referral when appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study (e.g., psychology, social work, etc.).
- Preferred: Master’s degree or current enrollment in a graduate program (clinical supervision provided).
Certifications:
- Alcohol or Substance Use Disorder credential required (RADT, CADC, LAADC, SUDRC, SUDCC).
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Possess valid driver’s license with ability to be insured by our auto insurance policy which includes, but not limited to, the following requirements: 4 continuous years of driving experience, 21 years of age or older, less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years
- Successful completion of criminal background checks through DSS LiveScan DOJ Fingerprint, as well as passing the ADP Selective Screening Services background check.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 20 lbs. and perform essential job functions effectively.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $68,640 - $74,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
