Job Purpose
Rebuild locomotive motors, Wheel sets and other locomotive parts and sub assemblies in accordance with AAR Regulations, customer specifications, company guidelines and checklists.

Education / Training
• 1-3 years of mechanical experienced preferred. (Gasoline, Diesel, Small Motor engine, or other vehicular mechanical experience a plus).

• Inspect, maintain, trouble shoot, diagnose and rebuild locomotive motors and wheel sets;
• Measuring with micrometers and other precision tools;
• Operate Overhead Cranes and forklifts;
• Consistently complete production related documents legibly without error;
• Follow Quality Work Instructions and work as a valued team member with others;
• Work as a valued team member.
Qualifications and Experience
• Work around overhead cranes and mobile equipment;
• Work on varied surfaces (concrete floors, gravel, dirt, railroad tracks);
• Read precision instruments and gauges;
• Constant standing, walking;
• Frequent bending, crouching, stooping, kneeling, squatting, overhead reaching;
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
