Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Special Education Teacher (Grades 9–12) who excels at working collaboratively, writing and implementing IEPs, providing direct instruction, maintaining reliable data systems, and upholding strict confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ academic and functional needs.
Deliver differentiated, direct instruction to students with varying learning profiles, across academic and life-skills domains.
Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, related service providers (e.g., speech, occupational therapy), counselors, and administrators.
Track, maintain, and analyze student progress data—using it to guide instruction and measure IEP goals.
Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Communicate regularly with families and caregivers regarding student progress, concerns, and planning.
Uphold confidentiality and privacy of all student records and sensitive information at all times.
Participate in team and IEP meetings, professional development, and school improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Valid state certification/license in Special Education (Grades 9–12)
Demonstrated experience writing and executing IEPs and progress monitoring.
Strong background in delivering direct instruction adapted to diverse learning needs.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in data collection and analysis to drive instructional decisions.
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
