The ideal candidate will come to us with a minimum of five (5) years experience in commercial, retail and/ or light industrial construction projects and work well in a team environment.
SUMMARY
Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services for fast-paced projects, and design-build hard bid projects by performing the following duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to work on multiple projects and trades, have good time management skills and must be able to prioritize. Must have strong communication skills with subcontractors, and project team.

Must Have:
- Minimum Five (5) Years experience in Commercial and Retail Construction.
- Light Industrial project experience a plus
Programs/ Software Experience:
AEC360, Building Connect Procore, Microsoft Office - Excel, Bluebeam, Box
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reviews data and blueprints to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists of cost estimates.
Submit Projects out to bid, understand scopes and qualify bids for multiple trades as received, perform take offs as necessary, read and understand Mall/Landlord rules and regulations as needed per job. Obtaining all pertinent information as needed to submit clients bids.
Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for purposes such as planning, organizing, and
scheduling work, preparing bids, change order pricing, vendors or subcontractors’ agreement, and
determining cost effectiveness.
Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
Consults with customers, landlords, subcontractors, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
Duties
- Analyze project specifications and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with construction teams to understand project requirements and timelines
- Utilize current software such to create detailed project bids
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures throughout the construction process
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or higher; or minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical
publications or government regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, customers and the general public.
