GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Workforce Development Supervisor is responsible for developing a strong workforce that supports the organizational and community needs of the Cherokee Nation by developing, implementing, and managing workforce development training plans and curricula. The Workforce Development Supervisor is responsible for providing support and facilitating the implementation of strategic priorities. |
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide leadership to the Workforce Development team. · Develop and coordinate specific training, coaching, and mentoring opportunities to address identified gaps. · Develop training courses, curriculum and materials while continually assessing program effectiveness and navigating improvements. · Maintain records of training activities, employee participation and/or assessment results. · Create monthly training calendars and arrange for internal and/or external trainers as needed. · Implements learning and development policies and programs. · Develop and maintains the Standard Operation Policies for Workforce Development in compliance with the Cherokee Nation and other accrediting agencies. · Other duties as assigned. |
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY |
· Supervisor. Provides leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. · Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter, and the field’s concepts and principles. · Sets work procedures, priorities, levels of responsibility and objectives. |
QUALIFICATIONS | ||||||||||||||||
· Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university, or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree preferred. · An additional one (1) year of experience.
