About the Role
- Supporting the VC to develop and deliver Strategy 2030
- Taking responsibility for key supporting strategies including our Education, Research and Knowledge Exchange strategies
- Driving student experience and outcomes for both home and international learners across all locations
- Leading our Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) submission
- Representing the University externally and chairing key internal governance groups including Academic Board and the University Executive Board
- Deputising for the Vice-Chancellor and line managing senior academic and professional colleagues
About You
- A confident, collaborative, and strategic leader who has a strong track record in senior leadership within the higher education sector
- Proven experience in leading high-performing teams and delivering impactful outcomes, alongside a demonstrated ability to develop relationships with external partners, particularly at a local and regional level
- A deep commitment to enhancing the student experience, and a student-centred approach
- Practical approach to problem-solving and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Self-motivated, ambitious, and demonstrate resilience and determination in your leadership style
- A professorial title and familiarity with local planning regulations and contracts would be a bonus, although not essential
