What You’ll Do
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal deadlines.
- Prepare insightful financial and management reports (P&L by line of business, office location, etc.) to guide decision-making.
- Manage general ledger functions, daily banking activity, billing, and vendor invoice tracking.
- Drive collections performance and working capital optimization.
- Lead the annual audit and tax return process and ensure timely government reporting.
- Continuously improve ERP systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Develop and document accounting policies and procedures.
- Mentor and coach team members in general accounting, AP, payroll, billing, and collections.
- Partner with leadership on special financial projects to support growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 10–15 years of progressive accounting and reporting experience, including team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience managing audits, tax returns, and government reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and ERP proficiency (SAP preferred).
- Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
