Position Overview: 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager with a strong background in the construction and electrical industry who will lead both strategic and operational HR functions across the field and office teams. The ideal candidate is SHRM-certified, deeply knowledgeable in employment law, and passionate about building strong teams, fostering a positive workplace culture, and aligning HR initiatives with company goals. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Own and continuously improve the company’s onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and strong employee experience. 

  • Partner with executives and department leaders to design and implement HR initiatives that support company objectives. 

  • Supervise and guide HR support staff (if applicable) in daily operations and special projects. 

  • Lead the performance review process, ensuring timely completion, consistency, and actionable feedback. 

  • Advise managers on employee development, performance coaching, and retention strategies. 

  • Oversee employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and culture-building efforts. 

  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for employee relations issues, conducting investigations when needed. 

  • Maintain up-to-date HR policies and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws. 

  • Keep accurate and confidential HR records, reports, and analytics to support data-driven decision-making. 

  • Recommend process improvements to strengthen efficiency and employee satisfaction. 

  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, job design, and organizational structure adjustments. 

  • Ensure benefit programs and compensation structures remain competitive within the market. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred. 

  • Minimum 6 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management or senior-level HR role. 

  • Experience in construction, electrical contracting, or related trades preferred. 

  • Proven ability to manage both strategic initiatives and day-to-day HR operations. 

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
