Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager with a strong background in the construction and electrical industry who will lead both strategic and operational HR functions across the field and office teams. The ideal candidate is SHRM-certified, deeply knowledgeable in employment law, and passionate about building strong teams, fostering a positive workplace culture, and aligning HR initiatives with company goals.
Key Responsibilities
Own and continuously improve the company’s onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and strong employee experience.
Partner with executives and department leaders to design and implement HR initiatives that support company objectives.
Supervise and guide HR support staff (if applicable) in daily operations and special projects.
Lead the performance review process, ensuring timely completion, consistency, and actionable feedback.
Advise managers on employee development, performance coaching, and retention strategies.
Oversee employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and culture-building efforts.
Serve as the primary point of escalation for employee relations issues, conducting investigations when needed.
Maintain up-to-date HR policies and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws.
Keep accurate and confidential HR records, reports, and analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
Recommend process improvements to strengthen efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Partner with leadership on workforce planning, job design, and organizational structure adjustments.
Ensure benefit programs and compensation structures remain competitive within the market.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
Minimum 6 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management or senior-level HR role.
Experience in construction, electrical contracting, or related trades preferred.
Proven ability to manage both strategic initiatives and day-to-day HR operations.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
