We are seeking a CBO Relations Manager to join our team at Independent Living Systems (ILS). ILS, along with its affiliated health plans known as Florida Community Care and Florida Complete Care, is committed to promoting a higher quality of life and maximizing independence for all vulnerable populations.

About the Role:

The CBO Relations Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering and maintaining strong partnerships with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) to enhance the delivery and reach of health care services. This position is responsible for developing strategic collaborations that align with organizational goals and community health needs, ensuring mutual benefit and sustainable impact. The manager will serve as the primary liaison, facilitating communication, coordinating joint initiatives, and advocating for resources and support. By leveraging these partnerships, the role aims to improve access to care, promote health equity, and support community engagement efforts. Ultimately, the CBO Relations Manager contributes to the organization's mission by building a robust network of community allies that drive positive health outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Health Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in community engagement, partnership management, or a related role within the health care or social services sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with diverse community organizations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM or partnership management software.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working specifically with underserved or marginalized communities.
  • Knowledge of local health care systems, policies, and funding mechanisms.
  • Bilingual abilities or experience working in multicultural environments.
  • Project management certification or experience managing complex initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with a diverse range of Community-Based Organizations to support collaborative health initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for partnership development and coordinate joint programs that address community health priorities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for CBOs, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals between organizations.
  • Monitor and evaluate partnership effectiveness, providing regular reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate CBO insights into program planning and service delivery.
