About the position...
Edge is looking for a seasoned and results-driven Customer Sales Representative with a strong background in expedited freight transportation and an active book of business. This role is ideal for a high-performing sales professional who understands the urgency and complexity of time-sensitive logistics and is ready to leverage their network to drive growth and revenue.
This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers in the expedited freight market.
- Identify customer needs and provide tailored transportation solutions that meet time-critical delivery requirements.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and quoting to closing and post-sale support.
- Collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to ensure seamless execution of shipments.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline updates in CRM systems.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in transportation sales, preferably in expedited freight or logistics.
- Strong understanding of freight brokerage, LTL, and time-critical shipping solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
