Position Summary
The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for supporting and assisting the Branch Manager to ensure all branch, departmental, and organizational objectives relating to the branch are achieved. In the absence of the Branch Manager or upon direction of Retail Management, the Assistant Branch Manager will be the primary person responsible for completing all duties necessary to run the branch successfully.
RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties as assigned.
- Provide direct leadership and oversight of the Teller and Personal Banker teams
- Ensure operational soundness within the branch; lead operational support of branch teammates by providing adequate oversight, guidance, and problem resolution; consistently mitigate risk
- Facilitate the self-audit program and general quality control efforts to ensure operational integrity within the branch; responsible for successful results from Branch Certification and/or any other audit initiatives
- Provide on-the-job training and/or regular coaching to promote and develop service and operational proficiency and excellence amongst Tellers, and Bankers
- Actively support branch operational needs, to include processing Teller transactions and performing all Banker functions
- Support efforts of Branch Manager to achieve all service related objectives
- Operate independently, make sound decisions, and exercise good judgment during interactions with members and teammates
- Upholds credit union policies and procedures and champions organizational culture both internally and externally
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role has direct supervision of the Teller and Personal Banker teams. Performs duties around the entire employee lifecycle, to include interviewing, hiring, performance coaching, disciplinary action, and termination. In addition, participates in teammate work scheduling, timecard approvals, training / coaching, facilitating meetings, and other similar tasks. Maintains ongoing communication with the Branch Manager and/or Retail Management team, informing them of all pertinent problems, irregularities, new developments, changes, and other important information within area of responsibility. In the absence of the Branch Manager, assumes all supervisory responsibilities within the branch.

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Three years of successful financial institution experience preferred, with a background in branch operations (both teller and platform). Supervisory experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Must be bondable.
Software and Equipment Requirements
To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of an be proficient in the use of a personal computer, Microsoft Office products, and the use of a telephone. Knowledge of and prior experience using a 10-key is helpful.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends. Must have or quickly obtain working knowledge of Credit Union’s products and services, policies, standard operating procedures, and State and Federal regulations.

Starting Pay & Benefits
This role offers base pay of $71,902.41. It also entails the benefits available to all Amplify employees, including a 401(k) with a company match of 100% on the first 5% you contribute.
Location
You will work at one of our four branch locations: Esperanza, Pond Springs, La Frontera, and Cedar Park.
