Hybrid Specialist - Assessment and Registration at Harper College

Implements, organizes and monitors AED student assessment/testing/placement/registration.

Conducts the AED student assessment/testing/placement/registration process and advises students as to curriculum, support services, and testing procedures.

Communicates with AED staff on issues of Assessment and Registration.

Monitors student assessment on an on-going basis. Maintains student pre-and post-assessment data.

Schedules AED staff to administer the AED assessment/registration process.

Identifies and refers special needs students for additional assistance.

Informs and advises faculty members regarding student assessment, testing, placement, registration, and recordkeeping procedures.

Assists with recruitment of students with the AED team at events and in classrooms.

Assists with the development of program recruitment and retention strategies.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Working Condition/Physical Requirement

Work is indoors and primarily sedentary in nature. Evening hours (remote and in-person) are required.

Education: Any equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s Degree in a language instructional area preferred.

Experience: Two years’ experience in an English as a Second Language or Adult Education program required. Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Able to work with a diverse population of students. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Bilingual(Spanish) preferred.
