The Details:
SCHEDULE: Our ideal candidate will be available to work 16-20 hours per week, Monday - Friday. We offer flexibility in setting those hours across weekdays as we understand your schooling is the #1 priority.
SALARY: $23.71/hour. This position is part-time and will not exceed 950 hours per fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).
WORK LOCATION: This position is based out of our Administration Office in La Mesa.
BENEFITS: Part-time employees receive 40 hours of paid sick leave once they reach their 90th day of employment. Part-time employees also receive free fishing, private boat launch and free day pass at Lake Jennings to enjoy the lake at its amenities. Part-time employees do not receive medical, dental, vision or retirement benefits.
Position Duties
Our Accounting Intern will perform a variety of routine and non-recurring accounting duties and tasks including maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, assisting accounts payable/receivable, organizing documentation, contributing to month-end close activities and performing related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify for the Accounting Intern, you must be a junior or senior standing from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting with a GPA of at least 3.25.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Eager to apply your academic knowledge in a professional setting and has a solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced skills in Excel). Someone who can confidently review and update financial work papers, follow both verbal and written instructions as well as able to clearly communicate accounting concepts and questions verbally and in writing.
