About the Job


The Sergeant  provides leadership to a team of five or more Security Officers while actively performing the full scope of security duties. This position ensures day-to-day operations are executed effectively, leads responses to incidents and emergencies, and acts as the liaison between officers, management, and campus partners.


This leadership role requires strong judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a secure and welcoming environment that supports the mission of the Dell Jewish Community Campus and the values of SA Security Services, LLC.


You’ll wow us by masterfully performing the following key duties and responsibilities:

  • Protect life and property across the Dell Jewish Community Campus.
  • Control access to campus per established policies and protocols.
  • Conduct regular patrols and complete assigned safety/security tasks.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and respond to alarms or suspicious activity.
  • Enforce campus policies to maintain order and promote a safe environment.
  • Stay alert to campus activities and support events or programs as needed.
  • Complete accurate and timely reports and routine administrative duties.
  • Provide clear direction during incidents and support post-incident follow-up.
  • Use sound judgment to resolve problems and maintain safety.
  • Oversee daily operations and deployment of the security team.
  • Make assignments, manage relief periods, and ensure consistent coverage.
  • Enforce adherence to established security policies, authorizing deviations only under unique conditions and circumstances.
  • Lead the team’s response to emergencies and high-risk incidents.
  • Develop and manage shift schedules for the team.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to support safety initiatives and events.
  • Serve as a role model and leader, promoting accountability and professionalism.
  • Create and manage work schedules for five or more officers.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational protocols and professional standards.
  • Assist in the hiring and guidance to promote excellence within the team.
  • Other duties such as, onboarding, and training of new Security Officers.

Requirements

  • Understanding of the safety and security needs of the Jewish community.
  • A dependable, proactive, and professional attitude.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Clear, tactful communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Texas laws related to private security operations.
  • Integrity, fairness, and a commitment to high ethical standards.
