Position Details
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-6:00pm and Friday 8:00am-12:00pm (40 hours/week)
- Location: Based out of clinic closest to your home but will primarily support the central region clinics (Fond du Lac, Wauwatosa, Waukesha, Miller Park Way) along with occasional travel to all 14 of our clinics as needed for back-up support.
Job Responsibilities
The Learning and Development Clinical Specialist is responsible for creating clinically focused programs that provide exceptional learning environments that develop competent clinical team members who are focused on the company’s mission and values.
- Leads clinical content development of training programs, methods, content and materials.
- Partners with management and SMEs to translate subject matter into learning content and structure content that builds capabilities and promotes knowledge transfer.
- Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups and communication with staff members.
- Ensures content is designed in harmony with Dental Associates policies, procedures, branding and standards.
- Responsible for learning management system, including clinical course structure, metrics and reporting.
- Presents clinical learning and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussions, virtual learning, lectures, and videos.
- Works closely with the Learning and Development steering committee to determine best practices to implement into clinic mentoring program.
- Maintains communication of mentor program with management, Learning and Development Joint steering committee, and mentors.
- Employs a variety of techniques to enhance the learning experience and modifies delivery based on the learner(s) needs.
- Collaborates with Human Resources, Recruitment and Compliance on new hire orientation.
- CPR and clinical training
Job Requirements
- Dental assisting experience required
- Approximately 2-5 years’ dental clinical training (instructor led and e-learning) experience preferred
- Microsoft office products, LMS, and/or experience with an e-learning
- Strong competence in Adult Learning theory
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), including working with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to gather and interpret technical content
- Experience developing dental clinical training a plus
- Must obtain CPR Training Certificate within 1st year of hire
- Ability to travel to all 14 clinics within WI as needed (primarily will be traveling throughout our central region)
