Student Engagement Graduate Assistant 

Dominican University New York is seeking a motivated Graduate Assistant for Student Engagement to join our team on a 10-month basis working 25 hours per week (days, nights and weekends when needed). This role presents an exciting opportunity for a graduate student looking to immerse themselves in campus life and make a tangible impact on student engagement initiatives. As a key member of our Student Engagement team, you will help oversee the Corless Student Engagement Center, assist in planning and executing campus events, manage the department’s social media presence, and provide essential administrative support within the Office of Student Engagement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for enhancing the student experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required along with having a valid driver’s license with the ability to drive University vehicles. Flexibility, ability to take initiative, and willingness to be a team player. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding of and interest in working with a diverse student population. Ability to work independently and effectively on multiple tasks. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.) Excellent customer service and people skills. Experience in planning, managing and executing student events and campus programing is preferred but not required.  

**Applicants must be in the process of being accepted/enrolled into one of our graduate programs or already enrolled in one of our graduate programs. We recommended applicants seek acceptance into the MS-OLC program, as this program is specifically designed for the working professional as it is 100% online. However, acceptance and or being enrolled in any DUNY graduate program will qualify for this position. Furthermore successful candidates MUST be a matriculated graduate student at Dominican University New York to maintain this position.   

This is a 10 month (August-May) live-in position. This position includes the following: 

• $3,000 stipend per semester
• $1,000 meal plan per semester (fall and spring)
