Title: Activity Account/ Fixed Assets Bookkeeper
Reports To: Assistant Director of Business Administration
Takes Direction From: Chief Financial Officer, Assistant Director of Business Administration, and Accounting Supervisor
Schedule/Calendar: 7.5 hrs./day 37.5 hrs./week 261 days/year
Pay Rate: $24.31/hr. - $26.47/hr.
Summary: To perform all aspects of the bookkeeping functions for student activity funds and athletic funds for all schools within the district. Responsible for maintaining the fixed asset register of the district and the processing of capital project fund disbursements.
Essential Functions:
Processes check requests from activity advisors and athletic directors, ensuring compliance with state and district guidelines.
Prints and distributes all activity checks.
Performs monthly bank reconciliations on activity fund cash accounts.
Prepares and distributes monthly check registers to the School Board.
Calculates the distribution of interest to all activity fund accounts.
Assists activity account advisors with monthly reconciliations and general information.
Provides all necessary information to auditors in their annual review of the activity accounts.
Maintains the fixed asset module of the financial software in order to provide tracking of all fixed assets.
Controls the tagging of new items purchased by the district.
Conducts periodic and annual audits of fixed assets.
Maintains information on discarded, traded-in, or sold items.
Maintains journal records of depreciation for GASB 34 requirements.
Provides the required fixed asset reports required by generally accepted accounting procedures.
Provides information for administration and outside auditors on fixed assets for annual audit.
Responsible for checking disbursements on all capital project funds.
Converts all district requisitions into purchase orders and distributes copies to the appropriate department.

Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, budget practices, and financial reporting.
Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn the use of the current financial software application.
Google Suite, including all associated functions: email. calendar, docs, sheets, slides, etc.
