Senior Reliability Engineer – 24/7 Production Facility Pasadena, Texas

 

The role and impact
As a Senior Reliability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the performance, reliability, and uptime of our equipment, facilities, and systems. Your primary focus will be on identifying and managing asset risks, developing and implementing Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs, and creating robust maintenance strategies. By analyzing equipment performance data, you will drive initiatives to reduce unplanned downtime and optimize operational efficiency. Your work will directly support safe, cost-effective, and sustainable operations through data-driven decision-making and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will also lead the continuous improvement of asset maintenance strategies, support the integration of reliability standards in new projects, and ensure that our operations meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.

What you’ll bring
You bring a strong foundation in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, complemented by hands-on experience in reliability or maintenance engineering. Your expertise includes developing and executing Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Mechanical Integrity programs, ideally within a Process Safety Management (PSM) environment. You are proficient in SAP (preferably S4 Hana) and Microsoft Office, and have a deep understanding of reliability principles, asset management, and industry standards such as API, ASME, and ASNT. Your technical skills span nondestructive testing methods, lubrication analysis, vibration monitoring, and statistical analysis techniques like Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA). You are an analytical thinker, an effective communicator, and a collaborative team player with a proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in reliability or maintenance engineering.
  • Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Mechanical Integrity programs within a Process Safety Management (PSM) environment preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP (S4 Hana preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of reliability principles, asset management, and maintenance best practices.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as API, ASME, and ASNT.
  • Experience with nondestructive testing methods (e.g., ultrasonic, radiography), lubrication analysis, vibration monitoring, and infrared thermography.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and failure mode identification techniques (e.g., FMEA, RCA).

Your new team

The Reliability Engineer is an integral part of the maintenance organization and reports to the Engineering Manager. Peers include engineers from Maintenance, Capital Projects, and Production, along with Production Supervisors, Maintenance Supervisors, Planners, and Schedulers.
