Position Summary:
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journals in the ERP system (Epicor).
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Generate cost centre data and conduct monthly reviews with Budget Holders.
- Own and manage Work In Progress (WIP) reporting; collaborate with Project Engineers to ensure financial accuracy of project data.
- Act as a key contact for annual external audits and internal audits.
- Lead and coordinate the annual stock take in conjunction with warehouse teams, ensuring complete documentation.
- Act as a data accuracy champion, identifying, resolving, and preventing errors in ERP data sets.
- Manage lease records and support lease accounting processes.
- Assist the Head of Finance with:
- Monthly management accounts preparation and review
- Budgeting and forecasting activities
- Year-end accounts and audit preparation
- WIP management from a financial perspective
- Provide guidance and leadership to the finance team, encouraging a positive and high-performing culture.
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and assist with people management under the direction of the Head of Finance.
- Support ERP and system maintenance and development.
- Contribute to fixed asset management processes.
- Develop, implement, and audit departmental policies and procedures.
- Support the department with ad hoc projects and duties as required.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Customer and service-focused approach.
- High attention to detail with a focus on data integrity and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a finance or management accounting role.
- Experience using the Epicor ERP system.
- AAT qualified or equivalent.
- Part-qualified or fully qualified (CIMA or ACCA).
- Experience with WIP management and project accounting.
- Background in a manufacturing environment.
