The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is looking to recruit an Admissions Counselor I position for the Georgia State University, Atlanta Campus. The Admissions Counselor I will be a part of our Welcome Center and assist with managing Tour Guides and the telecounseling program.
The typical weekday hours for this position are Mondays through-Fridays from 8:30am-5:15pm.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
· Provide support to the Assistant Director of the Welcome Center to manage the tour guides and tele-counseling program. This includes the hiring, training, scheduling, firing, and evaluating of the student tour guides on an annual basis.
· Maintain, monitor, track and enter all calling campaign information into a Customer Relationship Management system (for example, Slate).
· Create daily, monthly, and yearly data reports from Slate to evaluate the effectiveness of calling campaigns.
· Create and manage new and ongoing calling campaigns for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
· Conduct daily on-campus information sessions for prospective students and families at the Welcome Center.
· Meet with prospective students and guests after the daily campus tours to counsel applicants with regard to admissions requirements and procedures.
· Assist with all incoming and outbound transfer-related communications with prospective transfer students, including Admissions e-mail, walk-ins, as well as inbound and outbound phone calls.
· Assist and participate in on and off-campus student recruitment events in Georgia. This will include, but is not limited to, all on-campus open houses, information sessions, college fairs, and community college visits.
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
· One year of higher education experience dealing with student recruitment.
· Excellent verbal and written skills; previous experience with presenting to large groups.
· Ability to present clear and accurate information to small and large groups of various populations.
· Ability to work independently and develop project timelines and associated tasks to be completed.
· Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds.
· Knowledge of collegiate admissions standards, tele-counseling, and a CRM system.
· Weekend and evening hours are required when necessary.
