We are excited to announce an incredible Senior Groundwater Modeler opportunity with our CDM Smith Boston team, offering a unique chance to contribute to complex groundwater modeling projects!
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and perform complex numerical groundwater modeling projects including flow and transport simulations.
- Apply professional training in groundwater hydraulics or hydrology to support project objectives.
- Utilize various modeling codes and platforms to develop and calibrate groundwater models.
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance on modeling practices.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project needs and present modeling results effectively.
- Prepare technical documentation, white papers, and contribute to Total Knowledge Management initiatives.
- Review and sign off on modeling reports and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Participate in conferences and symposia to promote the firm's modeling capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related discipline.
- Professional registration as a PE or PG as applicable.
- 10 years of complex numerical groundwater modeling experience.
- Experience in a variety of hydrogeologic environments.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required based on project demands.

Skills and Abilities
- Professional training in groundwater hydraulics or hydrology.
- Experience with both flow and transport models.
- Hands-on experience with several relevant modeling codes.
- Demonstrated mentoring skills.
- Proven client marketing and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of scientific methods and engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS software.
Background Check and Drug Testing Information

Additional Compensation
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
