JOB SUMMARY

The Accountant is responsible for supporting the Accounting Manager and Controller with accounting responsibilities such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, journal entries, bank reconciliations, expense analysis. Generally, respond expeditiously to meeting/information requests, focus on business and organizational priorities, work independently with initiative and anticipation, and give careful attention to detail and follow up.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Accountant reports to Accounting Manager and maybe required to complete projects for Controller and/or General Manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Code Invoices
  • Maintain cheques to paid invoices
  • Prepare daily/monthly wire payments
  • Intercompany wire transfer and reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly reports including dunning letter, customer check runs, statement for year-end auditors
  • Maintains and analyzes customer documentation for administrative purposes
  • Prepares customer credit reports, insufficient funds, and invoice variances
  • Prepares monthly reconciliations for all accounts
  • Post intercompany bills, warranty, goodwill, US payments, transfer pricing
  • Prepare intercompany reports for Swiss
  • Prepare balance sheet for tax auditor
  • Postings to general ledger in SAP
  • Prepare month end foreign currency valuation run, accruals, and prepaid expenses
  • Approve cheque request
  • Support GM with BW reporting
  • Support US Finance with reporting and analysis
  • Maintain all contracts & leases

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience
  • MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
