We are seeking a creative talent leader who’s excited to move from best practice to next practice and reimagine our talent experience at our mission driven nonprofit. Our Wellbeing + Experiences function is committed to designing employee experiences that allow each human to experience wellness, equity, and spaces that allow them to grow and thrive. We are in search of a head of talent to best support our employees, managers, and leaders on their team building journeys, in developing new skills + ultimately Learning + Doing in different ways that evolve as our business will.

As our Director, Talent Experience, you are passionate about expanding our talent ecosystem, leveraging AI and modern tech to facilitate talent attraction, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and driving organizational success. This role will partner closely across 4 nonprofits to design and execute an ecosystem strategy. A leader with strong human centered design, engaging communication, tech forward thinking, and an understanding of AI integrations in talent spaces will be helpful for this role.

We are looking for a changemaker who will help build an inclusive and equity-informed function that can adapt and scale to support the multi-faceted needs of our employees and customers within our dynamic and growing family of companies - the Catalight Foundation and its family of companies including Catalight Care Services, Easterseals Hawaii, Easterseals Northern California.

This is a fully remote position; must be able to work core hours on Pacific/Hawaiian time zones; occasional travel may be required; reports into our Wellbeing + Experience Team; you will be a manager of a team.

  • Team Architect: Leading and develop a team of recruiters, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment that emphasizes wellbeing, creativity, growth, and team effectiveness.

  • Strategic Partnership Curator: Cultivating strong partnerships with diverse stakeholders across our nonprofits, including hiring managers and senior leadership, to understand and address talent needs.

  • Technology & Process Innovator: Serving as the functional owner and subject matter expert for our talent acquisition technology platforms (e.g., Workday, AI integrations), driving continuous improvement and innovation in our recruitment processes.

  • Talent Strategy Designer: Collaborating with hiring managers to develop and execute comprehensive recruitment plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities.

  • Data-Driven Storyteller: Utilizing insights and data analysis to inform decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and improve recruitment effectiveness.

  • Inclusion & Equity Strategist: Championing and implementing recruitment strategies that promote inclusive, and justice aligned hiring, ensuring fair and equitable hiring practices.

  • Candidate Experience Engineer: Developing and executing innovative sourcing strategies to attract and engage top talent, including passive candidates, through various channels and networks.

  • Enhancing the Employee Journey: Strategically plan and execute online and live career fairs, conferences, and other recruitment events to promote the organization and attract top talent, while also managing external agency relationships for cost-effective, high-quality solutions.

  • Interview Experience Designer: Developing and maintaining next (v best) practices for hiring managers and interview teams, creating and updating interview guidelines, feedback forms, and manual and automated tools.

  • Compliance & Regulatory Steward: Ensure all recruitment and onboarding practices comply with company policies and relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Strategic Alignment Collaborator: Partner with People Operations team to align talent acquisition strategies with the organization's overall mission and objectives.

  • Operational Efficiency Optimizer: Drive initiatives to optimize operational efficiency, enhance productivity, and implement forward-

  • thinking strategies to address future talent acquisition challenges.

  • Experiential Engagement Lead: Strategically plan for online and live career fairs, conferences, and other recruitment events to promote the organization and attract talent.

  • Project Design & Execution: Managing and performing special projects and duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and strategic foresight.

  • Growth Mindset Operator: Regularly assessing and enhancing processes, tools, and methodologies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Drive change, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of innovative learning practices across the organization.

  • Active Coach: Engaging in the design, development, and delivery of key learning initiatives while providing guidance, support, and mentorship to the team.

Qualifications

We believe humans with a diverse range of experiences may be suited for the work at hand. This role will be best suited for someone who has experience with talent life cycles, learning tech systems design, and people experience design.

  • Knowledge in designing, developing, and delivering impactful talent approaches

  • Experience recruiting for a broad range of job types and levels, including direct service, management, and executive.

  • Experience in that comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Capacity to effectively leading teams, building engaging environments and coaching for career growth.

Conditions of Employment

  • Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.

  • Must attend any required training.
