Aduro Advisors is looking for bright and talented individuals to join our team to support top-tier clients in the Venture Capital & Private Equity space. The Treasury Manager will report to the Head of Treasury and work with them to expand this department as part of the evolution of Aduro’s service model. They will be a key player in the design and scaling of this department, executing our mission of practical technical excellence, and overseeing the overall growth and development of their team.

The Treasury Manager will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day treasury operations at Aduro Advisors. This role will report directly to the Head of Treasury and will be responsible for managing a team of treasury professionals focused on processing a high volume of wires and other payment types for our Venture Capital and Private Equity fund clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of treasury operations, experience in managing a team, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service.


Here is the type of work you will do:

  • Oversee the daily treasury operations on behalf of clients, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of wires, ACH payments, and other payment types.
  • Manage a team of treasury professionals, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to support their growth and development.
  • Identify and escalate client service issues or areas of risk to the Head of Treasury.
  • Support the Head of Treasury in the development and implementation of treasury policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal processes, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Maintain banking relationships and collaborate with banking providers to optimize treasury operations.
  • Be a primary contact for vendor relationships (eg Treasury Management System provider) to ensure the Treasury department can operate at peak effectiveness. 
  • Identify and escalate opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity within the treasury department.
  • Work closely with fund accounting teams on the processing of client cash transactions and adopt a client service mentality when dealing with internal teams. 
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Accounting, FundPanel, People Ops, to ensure seamless operations and collaboration across departments.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in treasury management and drive implementation of best practices within the Aduro Treasury team.
  • Support the Head of Treasury on ad hoc projects, as needed.  


The salary range for the Treasury Manager position is $90,000-$110,000. Salary is determined based on current market data and candidate experience level. Employees in the Treasury Manager role are eligible to participate in the Aduro Bonus Program and the stock options program.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in treasury operations, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Strong knowledge of treasury management systems and processes.
  • Experience in the Venture Capital, Private Equity or Fund Administration industry is preferred.
  • Experience supporting the implementation of a Treasury Management System is a plus. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty; the ability to adapt nimbly and work with others through complex situations.
  • Experience supporting the building, managing, and scaling of teams. You have a passion for mentoring and coaching team members and take ownership in their development
  • You are naturally resourceful, driven and have strong problem-solving skills
  • You see the value in providing excellent outputs, being thoughtful and know the details make the difference
  • You are comfortable with software systems including Treasury Management systems, banking portals, G-suite, Microsoft Office, Box, Slack 

You should possess the following

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field.
  • Advanced degree such as Master’s in the above field is a plus
