Position Defined:
Entry level position, under general supervision and scheduling of the Public Affairs and Training Supervisor (PAT), primarily supports Admin, and secondarily all other departments as needed. May temporarily staff open positions, or when current staff are unavailable to work.

Under general supervision and scheduling of the Administrative and Finance Manager, primarily supports Business Personal Property, and secondarily other departments as needed. May staff temporarily open positions, or when current staff are unavailable to work.

Job Description

Examples of Work Performed 

  • Assist PAT in all operations
  • Maintain electronic and paper files, scan documents and records  
  • Sort incoming mail, research returned mail for appropriate mailing addresses 
  • Coordinate office logistics with Building OPS 
  • Assist with conferences, shows, sub-offices, and internal office events  
  • Assist in the development of office procedure documents.
  • May occasionally assist Assessor with speaking engagements,
  • Train co-workers, and perform other duties as assigned. 

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities 

  • Able to assist in all phases and functions of the office. 
  • Multitask, and able to shift focus frequently. 
  • Maintain error-free attention to detail. 
  • Interpret and apply rules, policies, and procedures of the Assessor’s Office. 
  • Research, plan, organize, and make timely decisions to meet project and task deadlines. 
  • Work independently, and in a team environment with tact, and maintain cooperative relations with other employees.  
  • Able to confidently use MS EXCEL, WORD, OUTLOOK

Education/Experience

High School diploma required.

Supervisory Responsibilities 

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations 

Upon hire, attain Certificate of Advanced Accreditation as provided in Title 68 O.S. §2816.

This position may be an identified Receiving Officer through the Board of County Commissioners.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and apply to practical situations. Ability to understand and apply basic accounting concepts.

Physical Demands 

*This position requires frequent lifting, moving, and carrying for short distances of up to 50 pounds.

Occasional assembly and moving of furniture, and other items is required.

Employee is regularly required to use arms, hands, and fingers to handle, feel, or reach.  They are also required to speak and listen.  The employee is frequently required to stand and/or walk, and drive a vehicle.

Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  

Work Environment 

The duties of this position are primarily in-office. The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate. Work may be occasionally required outside normal business hours
