Student Worker - Auxiliary Enterprises
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Join our Auxiliary Enterprises team as a Student Worker and gain valuable hands-on experience while supporting essential campus services. This role involves a variety of tasks including assisting with shipping, copy/print services, Florida Poly ID cards, parking enforcement, transportation, meal plans, and vending operations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Provide excellent customer service by answering phones, greeting guests, and responding to inquiries.
- Continuously monitor the department’s email during your shift and respond promptly to inquiries.
- Operate high-volume duplicating and printing equipment efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records for inventory, management reports, and supply needs.
- Coordinate and respond to copy/print service requests across campus.
- Assist in processing shipments via USPS and FedEx.
- Manage and track payments related to printing, Florida Poly Cards, postage, and more.
- Support Florida Poly Card production, including photo approval and card issuance.
- Assist with parking enforcement and help maintain cleanliness of department vehicles.
- Operate campus shuttles as needed.
- Stay up to date with university policies, maintain confidentiality, and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to learn new technologies and software quickly and thoroughly.
- Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot in an efficient manner.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Skill in typing, use of computer/software, especially Microsoft Office Suite
- Excel proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and tracking ability.
- Knowledge of standard office machines and equipment.
- Work effectively in a team environment as well as independently while following through on assignments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- During the academic year must be enrolled at least half-time as a student at Florida Polytechnic University.
- Must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.25 and have successfully completed 9 credits or more in the most recent fall or spring semester with a GPA of 2.0 or better.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Up to 20 hours per week.
TARGET HIRING SALARY: $13.25 hourly.
