Global Markets

The Global Markets Group is a market leader in providing world-class service to a wide range of clients. This team operates at the center of the world’s debt and equity markets. They provide sales and trading services, liquidity, hedging strategies and industry-leading insights, analytics and competitive pricing to more than 9,000 institutional clients across six continents.

The Global Equities group includes Institutional Derivatives Sales, Derivative and Convertible Trading, Institutional Equity Sales, Equity Trading, Electronic Trading Services, Prime Financing and Prime Risk. Global Equities provides marketing, structuring and trading of listed and customized equity products for its clients.

Job Description

  • Collaborate with Sales & Trading teams across global regions (APAC, AMRS and EMEA) to support trade lifecycle activities

  • Manage daily trade operations including execution, settlement, and clearing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

  • Monitor, investigate, and resolve trade breaks, discrepancies, and exceptions.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to enable efficient trade processing

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls

  • Support system enhancements and implementation activities with minimal disruption to BAU operations

  • Maintain accurate trade records, documentation, and audit-ready controls

Responsibilities

  • Assist in analytics initiatives by gathering and organizing data to support Sales & Trading teams across global locations

  • Prepare accurate and timely reports, dashboards, and presentations under supervision to support trading desks globally

  • Help prepare Corporate Action summaries at different levels (position, client, fund, regional, event) to analyze client election preferences for voluntary corporate action events

  • Prepare liability notices where clients have a short position in corporate action events

  • Book Give-Up trades, Pay-To-Hold trades (for swap transactions) on internal systems and escalate exceptions for resolution

  • Provide book, client, index and event analytics to provide business insight that can help the business suggest portfolio rebalancing solutions

  • Execute global outreach programs (e.g., KYC compliance campaigns) to mitigate client restrictions and operational risks

  • Compile news and research reports across sectors to create product summaries and assist in preparing presentations for the business

  • Provide data and analytical support to Product and COO teams across global locations

  • Assist in preparing client profitability and PnL metrics for Sales/Trading desks

  • Participate in team projects and learn best practices for analytics and operational workflows

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or other relevant area

  • Experience: 1–3+ years in financial analytics, operations, or related roles

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analytics tools (SQL, Python, Tableau, Alteryx etc. preferred

Foundational skills :

  • Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Communication: Clear verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to present findings effectively

  • Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment with demonstrated feedback and collaboration

  • Work Ethic: Ability to maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines; proactive and resourceful in problem-solving

  • Judgment & Independence: Willingness to learn and take initiative while seeking guidance when needed

Desired Skills :

Preferred: Exposure to Financial Services support and basic understanding of corporate action events (voluntary vs. involuntary) and their impact on shareholders

Work Timings

8.00 AM to 5.00 PM or 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM

Shift timings are subject to change based on business requirements. Candidates should be flexible to work revised shifts. Propensity to work on public holidays, weekends, and extended hours when required to meet business priorities.
