Job Description

The Production Technical Analyst is responsible for documenting, executing, and communicating all activities carried out from the assignment desk to the Telemundo bureau, as well as field coverage received through work orders for specific projects or special assignments.

This information will be shared by the Supervisor of Camerapersons and Editors and reported to the Senior Manager of Technical Production and Field Services.

The integration of information from the assignment desk determines the following aspects:

  • Classifies the group of camera people and editors based on the technical profile previously defined for each service, in order to properly assign resources according to each requirement.
  • Assignments must ensure full compliance with the projects to be covered, as well as adherence to guidelines and proper understanding of them. It is essential to communicate all details promptly to both freelance and staff personnel, including:
    • Type of coverage / interview, red carpet, conference, etc.
    • Content details / Interview, B-roll (visual elements), standby coverage awaiting content on location
    • Date and time details: call time for assignment, start of recording, and end of coverage (Entertainment)
    • Availability confirmation
    • All relevant editorial considerations

With the confirmation of each element related to the assignment, optimal compliance with service orders and proper execution is ensured.

Additionally, the Production Technical Analyst ensures to request support from the Logistics and Production Analyst to manage travel bookings and payments, recording equipment, lodging, ground transportation, and any potential additional expenses. This ensures that the assigned team has all necessary support in advance to begin their assignment on time and in proper form.

  • Designs a working file to assign and monitor the total time allocated to each project, ensuring proper resource management without exceeding regulated working hours and associated costs.
  • Ensures that invoices submitted by freelancers accurately match the time and assignment previously requested, thereby guaranteeing that their fees are valid for payment.
  • Designs, consolidates, and submits a daily assignment report which, after approval by the Senior Manager of Technical Production and Field Services, is sent to the production administration and/or finance departments of the following areas: Entertainment, News, Sports, and Affiliates.

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant or similar experience in audio and broadcast operations
  • Work Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, subject to adjustment to align with U.S. operations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Intermediate English proficiency
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Effective handling of large internal databases
  • Strong communication and multitasking follow-up skills
  • Ability to solve diverse problems in short timeframes
  • Availability to provide responses and follow-up both on-site and remotely; strong judgment to provide solutions while adhering to established policies and guidelines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both internally and externally
  • Ability to work under pressure
