Position Overview: 

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative to support growth within an assigned region. This role reports to the Senior Regional Sales Director and is responsible for generating qualified opportunities for the sales team through outbound prospecting, inbound lead qualification, and early-stage client engagement.

This role is focused on  identifying potential clients, initiating conversations, and scheduling qualified meetings for the regional sales team across our staging, luxury lease furniture rentals, and related service offerings. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, high activity levels, disciplined CRM usage, and the ability to operate in a metrics-driven sales environment.

Each sales role at Vesta has a defined performance expectation. This role is responsible for achieving activity and opportunity-generation targets assigned to the position. Roles within the sales organization are differentiated by quota level, account responsibility, and scope, with performance expectations aligned to the level of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business opportunities within the assigned region through outbound prospecting, including calls, email outreach, and other sales engagement methods.
  • Qualify inbound leads and determine fit based on project scope, timeline, and client needs.
  • Schedule qualified meetings, walkthroughs, presentations, or discovery calls for the regional sales team.
  • Build and maintain prospect lists within the assigned region, including brokers, developers, property owners, and related industry contacts.
  • Maintain consistent daily activity levels in accordance with company performance expectations.
  • Accurately track all activity, contacts, and opportunities in Salesforce CRM and related sales tools.
  • Maintain clean and organized prospect and pipeline data in accordance with company standards.
  • Represent the company professionally in all early-stage outreach and communications.
  • Educate prospective clients on the company’s services and value proposition.
  • Provide regular updates on activity levels, meetings scheduled, and pipeline contribution to Sales Leadership.
  • Support regional initiatives, marketing campaigns, and sales programs as directed by the Senior Regional Sales Director.
  • Collaborate closely with the Core Sales team, Channel Sales team, and Sales Leadership to ensure smooth handoff of qualified opportunities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, outbound sales, or a related client-facing role.
  • Proven success in a hunter-style sales or business development role focused on generating net new opportunities.
  • Experience working in a metrics-driven or quota-driven sales environment preferred.
  • Experience with outbound prospecting, lead qualification, or meeting setting strongly preferred.
  • Experience selling to real estate professionals, developers, or related industries is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and conducting high-volume outreach.
  • Experience using CRM and sales engagement tools (Salesforce, Apollo, Instantly, SmartLead, Outreach, Salesloft, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently while collaborating with the regional sales team.
