The Job Role:

We’re looking for a talented and Mechanical/Civil Engineer to join ZURU TECH to test our MEP module (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing).
We are developing cutting-edge BIM software that incorporates various modules related to residential construction development, including, among many others, structural calculation, architectural customization, and the ability to work on projects directly in the cloud.

The Requirements:

📌 Bachelor’s or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
📌 Basic understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, or plumbing systems).
📌 Characteristically inclined to achieve high levels of autonomy and open to discussing with different company roles.
📌 Attention to detail and interest in software testing.
📌 Good written and spoken English.
📌 Excellent historical memory.
 
 
Nice-to-have:

Academic exposure or familiarity with engineering simulation or analysis tools such as:

  • EnergyPlus
  • TRNSYS
  • MATLAB / Simulink
  • ETAP
  • EPANET

Familiarity with BIM or CAD tools such as:

  • Autodesk Revit
  • AutoCAD
 
The Responsibilities:
 
✔ Understand product requirements, and prepare test cases and checklists for validation of the software.
✔ Be the Quality Control (QC) reference inside an assigned Scrum Team, thus join all the events (Planning, Daily, Review, Retrospective).
✔ Support the Product Owner in the identification of the corner cases and missing requirements.
✔ Design and execute functional testing on the software product incrementally.
✔ Verify iteratively that functionality does not degrade.
✔ Detect, document, report, and assess the encountered bugs.
✔ Work with the developers to identify which use cases must be automated.
✔ Provide strong technical leadership with a focus on continuous improvement.
