Description

Modern Family Law, a rapidly expanding national family law firm, is seeking an innovative and highly organized Content Producer (Podcast & Video) to support the development and production of the firm’s podcast and video content. Modern Family Law offers competitive compensation, a wide range of benefits, and a culture built on family.  This role is remote, but the Content Producer (Podcast & Video) must reside in California (Bay Area preferred).

This individual will manage the full production lifecycle—from concept through publication—while ensuring high-quality content and consistent production workflows. The ideal candidate is a highly self-directed producer who can independently build and manage a repeatable production process from concept development through final distribution.

This position plays a key role in supporting the firm’s thought leadership and brand visibility initiatives by producing professional video and podcast content that informs, educates, and engages audiences.

You will not be on camera, but you will be a one-person show — showrunner, producer, and technical operator responsible for building and maintaining a reliable content production system.

Key Collaborators

  •  The CEO, who serves as the podcast host

  • Guests and external partners for preparation, scheduling, and participation

What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days

  • Establish a reliable production system including templates, checklists, equipment setup, file naming conventions, storage organization, and publishing cadence.
  • Launch or stabilize flagship podcast and video formats and produce content consistently, including approximately 2–3 long-form episodes per month and 20–50 repurposed clips per month.
  • Develop a performance feedback loop to evaluate audience engagement signals such as watch time, retention, clicks, and inquiries.

Responsibilities

Show & Content Production (End-to-End)

  • Manage end-to-end production of podcast and video content including pre-production planning, recording, editing, publishing, and repurposing content.
  • Translate brand strategy into series concepts, episode arcs, run-of-show structures, and segment outlines.
  • Develop repeatable production workflows that support consistent and scalable content output.
  • Ensure production quality standards are maintained across all stages of content development.
  • Translate brand and marketing strategies into engaging podcast and video formats including episode structures, show outlines, and production plans.

  • Incorporate graphics, captions, transitions, and other visual elements to produce polished final content.
  • Publish podcast and video content across platforms such as YouTube, podcast platforms, and the firm’s website.
  • Optimize titles, thumbnails, and descriptions to support discoverability and audience engagement.

Repurposing Engine — Make One Shoot = Many Assets

  • Convert long-form recordings into short-form media assets including reels, shorts, quote cards, audiograms, teasers, and other social-ready formats.

  • Identify key segments and highlights from recordings for short-form distribution.
  • Produce supporting assets such as clips, audiograms, teasers, and social-ready content.

Editorial Operations

  • Own and maintain the podcast and video content calendar in partnership with the marketing and brand teams.
