Description

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the entire lifecycle—from incoming components and manufacturing to final system validation and customer delivery. This role partners cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Suppliers to drive continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for hardware and system-level quality issues.

Testing Support

  • Perform system-level and component-level failure analysis on servers, storage systems, and rack-level integrations.
  • Analyze hardware, firmware, and system logs to identify failure patterns and contributing factors.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA), isolate failure modes and coordinate corrective/preventive actions with the vendors.
  • Develop and execute failure reproduction and validation test plans.

R&D Support

  • Reliability testing knowledge related to Quality and Manufacturing to prevent field issues.
  • Provide input to improve product reliability, test coverage, and documentation.

Quality & Reliability Support

  • Support Failure Analysis (FA), RMAs, and field return investigations
  • Drive 8D / corrective action for customer-reported issues
  • Identify systemic issues and escape risks from field data
  • Participate in reliability testing and validation when required

Documentation Support

  • Prepare FA reports, issue summaries, and customer presentations
  • Maintain clear communication with customers on status, risks, and action plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering within hardware, electronics, or manufacturing environments
  • Hands-on experience with server systems, PCB, GPUs, or electromechanical assemblies
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and global suppliers
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in server, storage, HPC, or data center hardware environments
  • Experience with supplier audits and process validation
  • Knowledge of reliability testing (HALT/HASS, thermal, vibration)

Salary range offered for this position is between $110,000 to $150,000 annually. This can be subject to change based on the candidate's experience level and skill set.
