Inside Sales Representative Role Summary
Inside Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving growth through remote sales activities. The role focuses on qualifying leads, managing a defined book of business, supporting account expansion, and closing smaller or transactional deals in close partnership with Sales Development Representative and Customer Success teams.

Core Responsibilities
- Qualify inbound leads and marketing-generated opportunities for fit, urgency, and buying authority
- Conduct discovery calls to understand customer needs, workflows, and pain points
- Manage a pipeline of small-to-mid-size opportunities from first contact through close
- Manage a portfolio of existing customers for renewals, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities
- Identify expansion signals and collaborate with Customer Success Managers on larger opportunities
- Maintain accurate opportunity data in CRM
- Own and close transactional or velocity-driven deals within a defined segment or territory
- Act as a trusted point of contact for customers with straightforward commercial needs
- Team player working with both SDR and CSM’s
- Comfortable with outbound prospecting and learning technical concepts
Required Skills & Experience
- 1–4 years of experience in inside sales, SDR, or customer-facing roles
- Experience selling SaaS, technology, services, life-sciences solutions preferred
- Strong discovery, objection handling, and closing skills
- Clear, confident communicator via phone, video, and email
- Ability to engage scientists, technical users, and business buyers
- Strong listening skills and consultative selling approach
- Familiarity with CRM systems
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously
Preferred
- Experience with B2B sales, services, or technology solutions
- Exposure to life science business or scientific software
