Edison State Community College invites qualified candidates to apply for the full-time position of Web Administrator and Media Design Coordinator. The Web Administrator and Media Design Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management, performance, and ongoing development of the College’s website and related platforms. This position ensures the website is functional, accessible, visually consistent, and aligned with the College’s brand and marketing goals.
This role oversees website architecture, content management, integration with third-party systems, and ADA compliance, while supporting digital communications, social media, and campus digital signage. The position works independently, collaborates with internal stakeholders, and partners with external developers on larger web initiatives. This role plays a key part in promoting the College, its programs, and student enrollment.

Functional Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the College website, ensuring clear navigation, logical page hierarchy, and an intuitive user experience.
- Develop, update, and implement changes to website content, digital forms, landing pages, and third-party platform integrations that support enrollment, marketing, and student services.
- Ensure website functionality, performance, and brand consistency.
- Maintain website accessibility (ADA compliance).
- Monitor website analytics and user behavior to inform improvements.
- Collaborate with academic departments and campus offices to ensure timely, accurate, and well-formatted web content.
- Create, edit, and manage digital media, including video, digital publications, and web-based applications or forms.
- Assist with the integration and maintenance of electronic media and digital signage across campus.
- Support the development, monitoring, and maintenance of social media platforms.
- Assist in the design and production of marketing and promotional materials as needed.
- Stay current with emerging web technologies, tools, and trends; recommend improvements that enhance user experience and support institutional goals.
- Serve as an active member of the Marketing team, contributing to overall communication strategies and brand consistency.
- Serve on appropriate committees and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong writing, design, and basic HTML skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of content management systems and digital communication best practices.
Required Experience:
- 5 years' of experience in web design, web development, digital media, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience writing and editing content for electronic media.
- Experience with website content management systems; Acquia/Drupal experience preferred.
- Proficiency with web design and digital media tools.
- Experience with web-based marketing; SEO/SEM experience preferred.
- Experience using social media as a marketing and communication tool.
- Proficiency in an Adobe Creative Suite product, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat is required. Experience with additional design platforms, such as Canva, is preferred.
Required Education:
Associate's degree in web design, web development, digital media, or a related field is required.
Supervises the following staff:
Student workers as assigned.
Other:
Some evenings and weekends, as well as occasional off-site or professional development training, may be required.

- Based upon the Ohio Revised Code, 10% of an Edison State employee's gross salary is deposited into their individual OPERS account. The college contributes an additional 14% which is not figured into the employee's base salary.
- An option for an alternate retirement plan is also available. Employee and employer contributions would be the same as above.

Vacation:
Professional/Technical employees receive 3 weeks of vacation each year which begins accruing on the employee's first pay period. After five years of employment with Edison State the Professional/Technical employee will receive 3.5 weeks each year, after ten years this increases to 4 weeks, after fifteen years the employee will receive 4.5 weeks of vacation and this once again increases to 5 weeks after twenty years of employment with the college.
Sick Leave:
Edison State employees receive 3 weeks of sick leave each year which begins accruing on the employees first pay period.
Holiday Pay:
At the start of their employment employees are eligible to receive pay for the 11 holidays for which the campus is closed.
Tuition Waiver:
- Edison State employees receive 100% of their instructional fees waived for any Edison State courses they take.
- Dependents (spouse or children) of full time Edison State employees receive the same 100% waiver for Edison State course instructional fees and dependents of part time employees receive a partial waiver.
Tuition Reimbursement:
Edison State offers partial tuition reimbursement for continued education.
Health Club Contribution:
Edison State will pay a portion of an employee's yearly premiums for a health club membership. Memberships to some local YMCA organizations can be payroll deducted.
The college also provides an on-site fitness center to employees, students and the community at no charge.
