Candidate will plan and optimize flow of approved materials, components, and related materials through all phases of material planning to meet production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Planner with Lean Manufacturing experience such as; material/product pull systems, line balancing techniques, and time study experience preferred. Must also have strong problem solving and kaizen abilities.
Will plan and optimize flow of approved materials, components, and related materials through all phases of material planning to meet production requirements.
Supports new products preparation activities in order to ensure that the start of the production is trouble free
Supports program balance out activities in order to fulfill customer orders and avoid obsolescence both in house and at supplier
Calculate requirements and issue component orders to our suppliers
Receive and input the customer orders and forecasts in the system, as needed
Contact the necessary supplier contacts
Monitor and track all open and past due orders from suppliers
Maintain hot kanban board
Support all departments within TAC when required
Monitor negative inventory
Monitor overstocked inventory
Daily Days on Hand monitoring
Process Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) to suppliers
Complete Inventory Adjustments
Complete Obsolescence Adjustments
Twice yearly physical inventory preparation and support
Component cycle counts
Prepare and maintain component tracking sheets
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or at least four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Attributes:
Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
