The Dispatch Supervisor provides leadership and oversight to the dispatch team, ensuring all TransWest vehicles and routes operate safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role is responsible for monitoring live operations, guiding Dispatchers in resolving real-time issues, and serving as a key decision-maker during service interruptions, rerouting, delays, and incidents. Working closely with Drivers, Supervisors, Managers, and clients, the Dispatch Supervisor ensures our service commitments are met while maintaining exceptional communication and operational accuracy.

Compensation:

·      $32.00- $36.50/hour

Responsibilities:

·       Provide day-to-day direction and support to Dispatchers, ensuring consistent operational execution and adherence to service standards.

·       Serve as the escalation point for real-time operational challenges, guiding Dispatcher decision-making and stepping in to resolve complex issues.

·       Oversee all “in service” vehicles, ensuring routes are on time, on course, and properly staffed.

·       Maintain awareness of vehicle locations, route performance, and live service interruptions through dispatch software and monitoring tools.

·       Ensure accuracy within TripShot, Samsara, and other dispatch platforms—verifying proper driver, vehicle, and route assignments and creating or updating routes when needed.

·       Monitor Samsara data for check-ins/check-outs, geofencing, driver registration, and support Fleet leadership on non-reporting units.

·       Act as a primary communication link between Dispatch, Drivers, Supervisors, Managers, and clients during service-impacting situations.

·       Proactively address client-facing issues and updates (notifications, emails, calls) relating to delays, reroutes, incidents, and service adjustments.

·       Oversee client email inboxes and ensure timely, accurate responses from the dispatch team.

·       Partner with operations leadership on performance concerns, late departures, and other critical operational indicators.

·       Track and analyze on-time performance, recommending route or schedule adjustments to improve efficiency and service quality.

·       Produce and review operational reports from TripShot and Samsara; use data to guide Dispatcher coaching and service improvements.

·       Support lost-and-found processes and other administrative tasks.

·       Lead by example in maintaining professional, courteous, and effective communication at all times.

·       Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support service excellence and operational continuity. 

Requirements:

·       2+ years of dispatch experience ot experience in a Lead or Supervisory role

·       Must have experience in using Microsoft Office Suite

·       Must be at least 21 years of age

·       Experience with TripShot, Samsara or other dispatching software preferred

·       Detail-oriented w/strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

·       Prioritization while multi-tasking under pressure and within short time constraints

·       Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational and interpersonal abilities

·       Able to work independently and professionally with all levels of the organization.

·       Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing demands and last minute client requests.
