Join Growing, Innovative Company Making Real Impact

At Top Notch Mohs, we know great results come from skilled, dedicated people. For 14+ years, we’ve partnered with dermatologists throughout the Bay Area to deliver on the spot, high-quality microscopic results that directly impact a patient’s skin cancer treatment.

We’re a mobile, forward-thinking Mohs laboratory team and we’re growing.

If you're a skilled Mohs Technician who thrives in hands-on environments, loves autonomy, and wants a role that truly makes a difference every single day, we want to meet you.

Your Impact

As a Mohs Technician, you play a crucial role in the Mohs surgical process. Your precision and expertise help doctors make immediate, life-changing decisions for their patients. Working in our mobile lab model, you’ll travel to clinics and create high-quality frozen section slides right on-site, delivering fast, accurate results in real time.

Where You’ll Work

You’ll commute (in a company vehicle) to one client site each day across the Bay Area, including: Sonoma, Napa, Marin, Contra Costa, San Francisco, Alameda, and Santa Clara Counties.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

  • Travel to client offices using a company vehicle (1 site/day)
  • Set up a fully functioning mobile lab each morning
  • Receive, gross, ink, and embed specimens with precision
  • Prepare frozen sections for immediate review
  • Freeze, cut, mount, stain, and coverslip tissue
  • Ensure all tissue and slide preparation meets quality standards
  • Maintain orientation of vital margins
  • Assist in training new Mohs Technicians as the team expands
  • Provide support to team members as needed (video troubleshooting or in-person assistance)

What You Bring

  • 3+ year of experience as a Mohs Technician (Required)
  • Strong interest in medical, scientific, or laboratory fields
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Workspace
  • Adaptability, initiative, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
  • A team-driven mindset and passion for high-quality patient care

You’ll Love This Role If You…

  • Enjoy hands-on work and solving problems on the spot
  • Want a role with autonomy and variety (not the same lab every day)
  • Pride yourself on accuracy, focus, and delivering exceptional work
  • Learn quickly and thrive in dynamic environments
  • Are energized by work that truly helps people

Benefits

  • Transparent pay: $30–$40/hr DOE
  • Detailed growth & compensation path
  • Generous PTO policy
  • Health and Wellness Stipend
  • 401(k) Plan

Our Interview Process — Clear & Simple

  1. Zoom call with our recruiter
  2. In-person interview with your future hiring manager
