The Maryland Departm Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA) is seeking an induvialexperienced with Workblock Coordination that will lead/support projects pertaining to Railway Infrastructure,Maintenance or Operations. The Manager, Workblock Coordination is responsible for ensuring the management andcoordination of maintenance and construction phase work efforts as programmed by the Office of Program ManagementOversight (PMO) for multi-million-dollar Capital Engineering Projects and Operational Maintenance ensuring the highestlevel of efficiency, safety, and reduced service impacts. The projects include Civil, Structural/Track work,Mechanical/Electrical, ADA, Architectural, Environmental, Transit Oriented Development (TOD), and Special Projectsundertaken by Facilities Engineering, Track & Structural Preservation Engineering, Construction Management andSystems & Equipment Engineering Divisions for Light Rail and Metro. The position is also responsible for instructing,directing, and guiding various MDOT MTA Transportation Engineering Mangers, MDOT MTA Operations Managers andmulti-disciplinary consultant/contractors/vendors scheduling of infrastructure maintenance and projectconstruction/installations. Additionally, the position is also responsible for establishing and maintaining variousprocedures for infrastructure access. The employee receives general supervision from the Director, Program
Management Oversight.
The current position is located in Baltimore City, Maryland.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
Position Duties
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Four years of administrative staff or professional work. **One (1) year of this experience musthave involved one or more of the following: the supervision of other employees, overseeing and coordinating thegeneral operations of a unit, applying rules and regulations, or exercising responsibility for the development of policiesor procedures. **Two (2) years of this experience must have been functioning as a project manager, team member, orproject coordinator supporting projects pertaining to Railway Infrastructure, Maintenance or Operations.

The ideal candidate will possess:
• Knowledge of MDOT MTA’s Transit Rail service area
• Supervisory skills and experience managing the work of consultants, contractor or vendors
• Public speaking skills to represent MDOT MTA
• Strong knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office Product and Tools
• Skill in Technical Report Writing

1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.
