Summary of the role:

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake, Hadoop ecosystem, PySpark, and SQL, and will be responsible for shaping the data architecture strategy to support enterprise-wide analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:

• Define and implement enterprise data architecture strategies and standards.
• Design scalable data models and data warehousing solutions using Snowflake.
• Lead the development of big data solutions leveraging Hadoop and PySpark.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to translate requirements into robust data solutions.
• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across all platforms.
• Optimize data pipelines and workflows for performance and reliability.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance data architecture.
• Mentor data engineers and contribute to architectural best practices.

Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role:

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
• Proven expertise in Snowflake including architecture design, performance optimization, and data sharing.
• Strong experience with Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Spark, etc.).
• Proficiency in PySpark for distributed data processing.
• Advanced SQL skills for data modeling, querying, and optimization.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native data solutions.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow, DBT).
• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data security.
