Job Summary

The Senior Developer will join our growing data governance team and will help in building, maintaining and configuring applications to ensure business needs are met. This role will be responsible for improving data quality within the firm and assisting the business development team in implementing a global, data-led strategy by creating various insight driven visualizations. Additionally, this role requires a deep technical understanding, strategic mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.


 

Essential Job Functions

  • Design and Development: Convert requirements into technical designs and application code, creating specifications for reports. Identify tool development opportunities for decision-making. Develop and execute unit tests to improve quality and user experience. Implement solutions in the software development lifecycle and assist with job scheduling and bug resolution for batch processing. - (30%)

  • Documentation: Document the technical support required to have the best-in-class data quality program. Assist in documenting data quality issues to help ensure accuracy and consistency. Analyze code to identify causes of errors and defects. Remediate known errors within development and production support contexts. - (10%)

  • Stakeholder and Relationship Management: Collaborate with data owners, IT, and the internal governance team to enhance operational efficiency. Identify data discrepancies, ensuring access to accurate client data, and engage with global teams. Lead initiatives to improve data quality and drive data governance maturity. - (20%)

  • Technical and Business Knowledge: Work with DQ Tools such as Informatica/Collibra and programming language (SQL, Java, or Python). Work with Databricks, SDLC, and Agile. At times work with Microsoft Suite and data querying languages, along with focusing on database relationships. Focus on data quality implementation, monitoring, and governance practices. - (20%)

  • Project Engagement: Demonstrate the ability to work independently with strong business acumen in Data Quality. Projects involve medium to high complexity, highlighting their organizational significance. Aim to motivate the team to achieve business objectives while overseeing and evaluating data input in the firm's matter and client relationship management systems for accuracy and completeness. - (20%)


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science/Computer Application, Business Administration, or Engineering; or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience

  • 5+ years of experience in SQL, Data Analysis, Informatica PowerCenter and IDQ, Microsoft Office Suite, and Documentation

  • Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science/Computer Application, Business Administration, or Engineering or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
