The Project Manager - Corporate Real Estate is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of facilities, property, and tenant-related projects within H&R Block’s headquarters. This role manages day-to-day operations involving building services, vendor partnerships, janitorial oversight, security systems, and restaurant management. The Project Manager ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining high service and quality standards.

 

Day to day, you'll...

 

  • Manage a wide range of facilities and operational projects supporting corporate real estate, building operations, and multi-tenant activities 

  • Oversee building services and janitorial-related contracts, including uniforms, floor mats, cleaning, window washing, and landscaping, ensuring high-quality service delivery

  • Coordinate restaurant operations support and maintain building security systems

  • Manage leasing and lease-administration activities with accuracy and compliance to corporate real estate standards

  • Support new and existing tenants through space coordination, conference room reservations, onboarding, and move-in activities

  • Define project objectives, scope, schedule, budget, quality levels, resources, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements

  • Develop and execute project plans; manage change control, communication, reporting, and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle

  • Validate project outcomes, maintain proper documentation, and complete all activities required for project closure

  • Prepare business cases and recommendations to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements

  • Manage vendor relationships, including preparing bid packages, negotiating service contracts, and overseeing contractor performance to ensure service-level compliance

  • Review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring fiscal responsibility and adherence to budget expectations

  • Oversee daily operational tasks, establishing and tracking priorities, deadlines, and workflows to maintain smooth facility operations

  • Perform additional duties as assigned 

What you'll bring to the team...:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment, both in person and virtually

  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to present complex information at multiple organizational levels

  • Demonstrated decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and project planning tools

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with established deadlines

It would be even better if you also had...:
  • Familiarity with compliance and governance requirements, including SOX
  • PMP certification or progress toward certification

  • Experience with corporate real estate, lease review, and multi-tenant facility management

  • Experience with integrated workplace management systems (IWMS)

  • Experience working with security control systems

  • Experience with AutoCAD
