King-Murphy Mountain School is located in the beautiful mountains of Evergreen, CO in Clear Creek Re-1 School district. Students are immersed in hands-on experiences through nature based learning, research, and through expeditions throughout our mountain community. Students love learning on our 10 acre mountain campus featuring their own hiking trail and outdoor classrooms.
Our crew creates both indoor and outdoor instructional spaces where students can apply their learning to ensure that each individual child has their needs uniquely met throughout the day. We empower our mountain strong students to take ownership of both their academic learning and their personal development.
YOU: We are seeking a strong, enthusiastic, growth-mindset educator who has a passion for engaging, authentic learning experiences and is strong in instructional practices.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT: The successful candidate will be required to complete fingerprinting through an approved fingerprinting vendor and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, within 48 hours of offer acceptance.
POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Learning Center Site Leader to develop and implement a variety of enrichment opportunities for elementary school students as part of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant (21st CCLC). This is an exciting opportunity to help spearhead evidence-based academic programming and enrichment activities to students in our county outside of the traditional school day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Strong collaboration skills with school community and diverse stakeholders
Prior experience planning and implementing school-age enrichment activities
Articulate communicator
Detail-oriented
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
Proficiency in evaluation metrics and data collection
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office tools, and/or Google Suite
EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High School Diploma required or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college preferred
EXPERIENCE: Working with school aged children
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with marketing programs and social media preferred. Familiarity with the Clear Creek Community and surrounding areas preferred. Willingness to learn & think creatively.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS: Valid Driver’s License
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level is typical of a school district.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequent sitting, bending, reaching; stooping, squatting. Occasional lifting five (5) to twenty five (25) pounds.
