Our member firm is hiring for their offices based in Glen Rock, NJ!

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Tax Manager with deep expertise in U.S. International Taxation to join our dynamic public accounting team. This leadership role will be responsible for delivering sophisticated cross-border tax consulting and compliance services to our growing portfolio of multinational businesses and high-net-worth global clients. The ideal candidate is a strong technical expert with exceptional leadership, communication, and client service skills.


Key Responsibilities

General Tax Responsibilities

  • Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and estates.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships; design and implement tax planning strategies aligned with client goals.

  • Stay current on state and local tax legislation and evaluate the impact on clients.

  • Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance and identify planning opportunities.

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff and managers while fostering a collaborative team culture.

  • Manage project workflows, budgets, timelines, and deliverables effectively.

International Tax Responsibilities

  • Lead and review international tax compliance, including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118, and related disclosures and statements.

  • Advise clients on global tax matters including:

    • Foreign tax credits

    • GILTI and Subpart F

    • §965 transition tax

    • BEAT and FDII

    • §367 and cross-border transfers

    • Inbound and outbound structuring

    • Repatriation strategies

  • Conduct technical tax research and prepare memoranda on international tax matters and treaty positions.

  • Collaborate with partners and cross-functional service lines to deliver integrated, strategic tax solutions.


Qualifications

  • CPA license required (JD or LLM in Taxation strongly preferred).

  • 7+ years of U.S. international tax experience within a public accounting environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of Subchapter N, foreign reporting requirements, and cross-border tax structuring.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CCH Axcess.

  • Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional client service and building long-term relationships.


This position operates as part of a US East Coast-based team, with typical working hours aligning with EST to facilitate effective collaboration. We offer flexibility in managing your schedule to maintain a healthy work-life balance while meeting business needs.
