PEAC Solutions is seeking a skilled Mid-Ticket Credit Analyst to underwrite commercial loan and lease applications ranging from $250,000 to $25,000,000. In this role, you will independently evaluate credit risk across diverse industries and equipment types using financial analysis, commercial credit reports, and customer due diligence. You will present credit exposures clearly and concisely, support Sales and Operations with transactions requiring non-standard structures, and help maintain an organized and responsive Mid-Ticket underwriting process. Additionally, you will assist with credit decisions in the Flow Underwriting Queue during peak periods to ensure efficient workflow and overall deal fluency.
Essential Functions:
- Evaluate credit risk on new equipment loan and lease applications with a mid-ticket transaction range of $250,000 - $25,000,000 across a wide variety of industries Analyze credit data using tools such as Moody’s, Standard & Poor’s, Dun & Bradstreet, Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax.
- Review, spread, and analyze business financial statements and tax returns.
- Review and analyze personal financial statements and tax returns.
- Underwrite and present decisions for Mid-Ticket exposures and provide assistance to the Sales and Operation Teams in closing transactions with non-standard requirements in a timely manner while ensuring a responsive transaction management process.
- Read/review commercial credit reports and customer due diligence reports and prepare the credit approval summary (CAS) forms, including financial analysis.
- Conduct online research to verify business legitimacy and reputation.
- Clearly communicate credit decisions in a concise manner, verbally and written, to internal departments, specifically Sales and Credit.
- Ensure underwriting practices align with internal credit policies and audit standards.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to support credit operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5 + years commercial credit underwriting experience in Small & Middle Ticket transactions with previous commercial credit underwriting experience in Equipment Leasing required.
- Proficiency in financial statement analysis required.
- Excellent computer skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
